Ingredients

Scale

Chocolate Pudding Layer

  • 1 (5.9-ounce) box instant chocolate pudding
  • 2 1/2 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup Cool Whip, defrosted
  • 6 graham cracker halves (3 whole graham crackers, broken in half)

Marshmallow Cream Layer

  • 5 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
  • 7 ounces marshmallow creme
  • 2 cups Cool Whip, defrosted
  • Pinch of salt
  • 6 graham cracker halves (3 whole graham crackers, broken in half)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Baking Dish: Line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper, allowing extra parchment to hang over the edges for easy removal of the frozen dessert later.
  2. Mix Chocolate Pudding: In a medium bowl, whisk together the instant chocolate pudding mix, whole milk, and 1/2 cup of Cool Whip until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  3. Layer Graham Crackers and Pudding: Place half of the graham cracker halves evenly along the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Spread the chocolate pudding mixture evenly over the graham crackers. Place the dish in the refrigerator to chill and set while you prepare the next layer.
  4. Prepare Marshmallow Cream Layer: In a separate medium bowl, beat together the cream cheese and marshmallow creme until completely smooth. Gently fold in the remaining 2 cups of Cool Whip along with a pinch of salt until well combined.
  5. Assemble and Freeze: Spread the marshmallow cream mixture evenly over the chilled chocolate pudding layer. Then, evenly place the remaining graham cracker halves on top. Cover the entire dish with foil and place it in the freezer for at least 6 hours, or until firm enough to slice.
  6. Slice and Serve: Use the parchment paper overhang to lift the frozen s’mores out of the baking dish. Place onto a cutting board and slice into 12 squares using the graham crackers as a guide. Trim away any excess frozen filling from the edges.
  7. Enjoy: Serve immediately to enjoy them slightly softened, or store in a freezer-safe zip-top bag. If stored frozen, allow the s’mores to soften at room temperature for about 15 minutes before serving for the perfect texture.

Notes

  • Ensure the cream cheese is at room temperature to make mixing easier and smoother.
  • Use parchment paper with overhanging edges to easily remove the frozen dessert without breaking it.
  • For a dairy-free or vegan option, substitute with plant-based alternatives for milk, cream cheese, and Cool Whip.
  • If you want firmer s’mores, freeze longer; for a softer texture, reduce freezing time and allow to soften before serving.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container or zip-top bag to prevent freezer burn and maintain freshness.
