Tiramisu Latte

A cozy and creamy espresso-based drink inspired by the flavors of classic tiramisu, finished with cocoa powder and a ladyfinger for a sweet twist.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 shot (1 oz) espresso or 1/4 cup strong brewed coffee
  • 3/4 cup milk of choice
  • 1 tablespoon mascarpone cheese (optional, for extra richness)
  • 1 tablespoon sugar or maple syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon cocoa powder (plus more for dusting)
  • Whipped cream or frothed milk, for topping
  • 1 ladyfinger biscuit (Savoiardi), for garnish

Instructions

  1. Brew a fresh shot of espresso or make 1/4 cup of strong brewed coffee.
  2. In a small saucepan over medium heat, warm the milk.
  3. Stir in mascarpone (if using), sugar or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and cocoa powder. Whisk until smooth and steaming, but do not boil.
  4. Pour the espresso into a mug or heat-safe glass.
  5. Add the hot milk mixture and stir gently to combine.
  6. Top with whipped cream or frothed milk.
  7. Dust with additional cocoa powder and garnish with a ladyfinger biscuit on top or on the side.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy immediately.

Notes

  • Mascarpone adds creaminess and authentic tiramisu flavor, but can be omitted for a lighter version.
  • Use dairy or non-dairy milk as preferred—almond and oat milk work well.
  • To make it iced, chill the milk mixture and espresso, then serve over ice.
  • Add a splash of coffee liqueur for an adult version.
