Strawberry Cream Croissants with Chocolate-Dipped Strawberries

  • 2 all-butter croissants, halved horizontally
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 6 whole strawberries (for dipping)
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips or chunks
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil (optional, for smoother dipping)
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whip the cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form. Set aside.
  2. Gently melt dark chocolate with coconut oil (if using) in a double boiler or microwave in 30-second intervals.
  3. Dip whole strawberries into melted chocolate and place on parchment to set. Refrigerate to firm up.
  4. Fill the halved croissants with whipped cream and strawberry slices.
  5. Dust the tops of croissants lightly with powdered sugar.
  6. Serve with chocolate-dipped strawberries and your favorite coffee or latte.

Notes

  • Use ripe but firm strawberries for best results.
  • Chill the whipped cream slightly before filling croissants for better texture.
  • You can substitute white chocolate for the dark chocolate if preferred.
