Ingredients

Scale

Base Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups fresh raspberries
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup plain, full-fat Greek yogurt
  • 23 tablespoons honey, sugar, or sweetener of choice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Garnish Ideas

  • More fresh raspberries
  • Mini chocolate chips
  • Fresh mint leaves

Instructions

  1. Add the base ingredients to a blender: Combine the fresh raspberries, whole milk, Greek yogurt, honey (or your preferred sweetener), a pinch of salt, and vanilla extract in a blender.
  2. Blend until smooth: Blend all the ingredients for about 20 to 30 seconds until the mixture achieves a smooth consistency.
  3. Strain the seeds: Pour the blended mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a bowl or large measuring cup, pressing gently to separate and discard raspberry seeds for a silky texture.
  4. Freeze the mixture: Pour the smooth strained mixture into an empty Ninja CREAMi Pint. Place the pint in the freezer on a level surface without the lid and freeze for 24 hours. Leaving the lid off prevents ice buildup that can damage the creamery blade.
  5. Assemble and process in Ninja Creami: After freezing, remove the pint from the freezer and place it in the Ninja CREAMi outer bowl. Secure the lid on top, mount the bowl assembly on the motor base, twist the handle to raise and lock the platform into place. Select the ‘Frozen Yogurt’ program to process the sherbet.
  6. Respin if needed: If the texture is not fully smooth after the first spin, run the ‘Respin’ function once to improve creaminess.
  7. Serve and garnish: Remove the pint from the machine, scoop the sherbet immediately, and garnish with fresh raspberries, mini chocolate chips, or fresh mint as desired. Enjoy your creamy, fruity homemade raspberry sherbet!

Notes

  • For a dairy-free version, substitute milk and Greek yogurt with plant-based alternatives.
  • Adjust the sweetness by varying honey or sweetener amount to taste.
  • Freezing the mixture without the lid is crucial to protect the Ninja Creami blade.
  • Use ripe, fresh raspberries for the best flavor and natural sweetness.
  • If seeds are not a concern, you can skip the straining step.
  • This recipe makes one single-serving pint of sherbet.
