Ingredients

Scale

Fudge Base

  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp salt

Swirl

  • 1 cup marshmallow fluff (or marshmallow cream)

Instructions

  1. Melt the chocolate. In a saucepan over low heat, melt semi-sweet chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter, stirring constantly until smooth and fully combined to create your fudge base.
  2. Add the vanilla and salt. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and salt until the mixture is fully incorporated and smooth.
  3. Pour into the pan. Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper. Spread the melted chocolate fudge mixture evenly across the pan for a smooth, flat surface.
  4. Add the marshmallow swirl. Drop spoonfuls of marshmallow fluff on top of the fudge surface, then use a knife to gently swirl the fluff into the fudge, creating thick, visible ribbons and a beautiful marble effect. Be careful not to overmix.
  5. Chill and set. Place the fudge in the refrigerator and chill for at least 2 hours or until firm. Once set, cut into clean, perfect squares and serve.

Notes

  • Use marshmallow fluff instead of mini marshmallows for smooth, creamy swirls that won’t melt completely into the fudge.
  • Don’t overmix the marshmallow swirl; a gentle swirl keeps the marshmallow ribbons thick and distinct.
  • Let the fudge chill completely in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before cutting to ensure clean squares.
  • For a s’mores twist, sprinkle crushed graham crackers on top before chilling.
  • For toasted marshmallows, lightly torch the marshmallow swirl after swirling to add a caramelized flavor.
