Instructions

  1. Activate Yeast: In a large bowl, combine the warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast. Let the mixture sit for 5 minutes until it becomes foamy, indicating the yeast is activated.
  2. Mix Dough: Add the olive oil, 3 cups of flour, and salt to the yeast mixture. Stir until a shaggy dough starts to form.

  6. Shape Dough: Roll the risen dough out into a 12×18 inch rectangle. Spread the herb butter mixture evenly over the dough, then sprinkle shredded mozzarella, parmesan cheese, and chopped fresh parsley on top.
  7. Roll and Seal: Roll the dough tightly from the long side into a log shape, pinch the seam to seal it well, and place the loaf into a greased 9×5-inch loaf pan.
