Ingredients

Scale

For the Steak Bites

  • 1 lb (450g) sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: chopped fresh parsley for garnish

For the Parmesan Cream Sauce

  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Prep the steak: Pat your steak cubes dry using paper towels and season them generously with salt and pepper to enhance the flavor and help create a good sear.
  2. Sear the steak: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak cubes in batches to avoid overcrowding, sear them for 2–3 minutes on each side until they develop a browned crust. Remove the steak from the pan and set aside.
  3. Make the garlic butter: Reduce the heat to medium in the same skillet. Melt the unsalted butter, add the minced garlic, and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Return the seared steak bites to the skillet and toss them in the garlic butter to coat evenly.
  4. Prepare the Parmesan cream sauce: In a separate saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat and sauté the finely minced garlic for 30 seconds. Add the heavy cream and bring it to a gentle simmer. Stir in the freshly grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy. Season with salt, black pepper, and optional red pepper flakes to taste.
  5. Serve: Pour the Parmesan cream sauce over the garlic butter steak bites or serve it on the side. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley if desired, and serve immediately for best flavor and texture.

Notes

  • Storage Tips: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Reheating Tips: Reheat gently on the stovetop over low heat, adding a splash of cream or milk to loosen the sauce and prevent it from drying out.
  • Variations: For extra flavor, add sautéed mushrooms, fresh spinach, or crispy bacon to the dish.
