Bread and Cheese
- Nonstick cooking spray, enough to coat pan
- 2 (16-oz) cans refrigerated biscuit dough
- 1 lb rind-on Brie, cut into 1-inch cubes
Herbs and Sauce
- 1 tsp coarsely chopped fresh thyme leaves
- 1 tsp coarsely chopped fresh rosemary
- 1 (14-oz) can whole-berry cranberry sauce
- Prepare the pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Generously coat a 10-cup Bundt pan with nonstick cooking spray to prevent the bread from sticking.
- Prepare biscuit dough balls: Open one can of refrigerated biscuit dough and separate it into individual biscuits. Tear each biscuit in half, then flatten each piece in your palm. Place a 1-inch cube of Brie cheese in the center of the flattened dough, pinch the edges tightly around the cheese to seal it, and roll it gently into a small ball. Repeat this process with all the dough pieces and cubes of Brie.
- Layer the pull-apart bread: Arrange a layer of the cheese-filled dough balls evenly in the bottom of the prepared Bundt pan. Sprinkle one-third of the chopped fresh thyme and rosemary evenly over the dough balls, then spread one-third of the whole-berry cranberry sauce on top.
- Repeat layering: Continue layering the remaining dough balls, herbs, and cranberry sauce in two more layers, finishing with the cranberry sauce on top.
- Bake the bread: Place the Bundt pan in the preheated oven and bake for 40 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and the cranberry sauce is bubbling on top.
- Cool and serve: Remove the bread from the oven and transfer the Bundt pan to a wire rack. Let it cool for 10 minutes to set slightly. Carefully invert the Bundt pan onto a serving plate so the bread releases. Serve warm as a delicious, shareable appetizer.
Notes
- For easier handling, chill the Brie cubes briefly before wrapping them in dough.
- If you prefer, substitute fresh herbs with 1 tsp dried thyme and rosemary combined.
- Use your favorite brand of whole-berry cranberry sauce for best flavor.
- This pull-apart bread is best served warm and fresh but can be reheated gently in the oven.
- Ensure the biscuit dough balls are sealed well around the cheese to prevent leakage during baking.
