- 8 oz halloumi cheese, cut into bite-sized cubes
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
- Oil, for frying
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1/2 tsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
- Fresh parsley or cilantro, chopped
- In a small saucepan, combine honey, red pepper flakes, and apple cider vinegar. Heat gently for 2–3 minutes, then set aside.
- In a bowl, mix panko breadcrumbs with garlic powder and smoked paprika.
- Dredge each halloumi cube in flour, then dip in beaten eggs, and coat thoroughly in the seasoned breadcrumb mixture.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the halloumi cubes in batches for 2–3 minutes until golden and crisp. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Arrange the fried halloumi on a serving plate, drizzle generously with warm hot honey, and sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped herbs.
- Serve immediately while hot and crispy.
Notes
- For extra heat, add more red pepper flakes to the honey.
- Can be air-fried for a lighter version.
- Serve with toothpicks for easy party snacking.
