Crispy Blueberry Cream Cheese Rolls

Flaky golden rolls filled with a luscious cream cheese and blueberry mixture, offering a slightly tangy, lightly sweet, and perfectly crisp dessert. Ideal for brunch, dessert, or a special coffee-time treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 sheets phyllo dough or egg roll wrappers
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar (plus more for dusting)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup fresh blueberries
  • 2 tbsp melted butter (for brushing)
  • Optional: oil for frying or baking alternative

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) or heat oil in a pan if frying.
  2. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Gently fold in the blueberries without smashing them.
  4. Lay out one wrapper and spoon 2 tbsp of filling in the center. Fold the sides inward and roll tightly, sealing the edge with a dab of water.
  5. Brush each roll with melted butter and place on a baking sheet, or prepare for frying.
  6. Bake for 15–18 minutes until golden and crispy, or fry for 2–3 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Let cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use phyllo dough for extra flakiness, or egg roll wrappers for a heartier texture.
  • Don’t overfill the wrappers to prevent bursting during baking or frying.
  • Serve with a dollop of whipped cream or a drizzle of honey for extra indulgence.
