- 2 French baguettes, halved lengthwise
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 6 slices cooked bacon, chopped
- 2 tablespoons cream cheese (optional, for extra creaminess)
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, mix butter, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Spread evenly over the cut sides of the baguettes.
- Optional: Spread a thin layer of cream cheese over the garlic butter for extra richness.
- Top with a generous layer of mozzarella and cheddar cheese. Sprinkle chopped bacon evenly over the top.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly and edges are golden.
