Burrata with Roasted Cherry Tomatoes & Basil

Creamy, luxurious burrata surrounded by blistered cherry tomatoes, drizzled with olive oil and topped with fresh basil—simple, elegant, and bursting with Mediterranean flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ball of fresh burrata cheese
  • 2 cups cherry tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (plus more for drizzling)
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon red chili flakes (optional)
  • Handful of fresh basil leaves, thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Place cherry tomatoes on a baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil, add minced garlic, and season with salt, pepper, and chili flakes.
  3. Roast for 15–20 minutes or until the tomatoes are blistered and slightly caramelized.
  4. Transfer roasted tomatoes to a serving plate. Place the burrata in the center.
  5. Drizzle everything with more olive oil and sprinkle fresh basil over the top.
  6. Serve immediately with crusty bread or as a standalone appetizer.

Notes

  • Use room-temperature burrata for the creamiest texture.
  • Serve with toasted baguette slices or focaccia for dipping.
  • For extra flavor, add a splash of balsamic glaze before serving.
  • Great as part of an antipasto platter or light lunch.
