These charming Brownie Bite Gnomes are a delightful and whimsical treat perfect for parties or festive occasions. Made from bite-sized brownies topped with cream cheese frosting, fresh strawberries, and Reese’s Puffs cereal as noses, these adorable gnome-shaped desserts are easy to assemble and sure to impress both kids and adults alike.

Ingredients

Scale

Brownie Bites

  • 24 brownie bites, store-bought or homemade

Frosting

  • 1 cup cream cheese frosting, store-bought or homemade

Toppings

  • 24 fresh strawberries, washed and dried
  • 24 Reese’s Puffs cereal pieces

Instructions

  1. Prepare Strawberries: Wash the strawberries thoroughly and let them dry completely to prevent the frosting from melting. Remove the green leaves and carefully cut out the stem area with a small knife to create a small hole on top, taking care not to slice straight across the tops so the berries retain their cone shape.
  2. Prepare Frosting Bag: Transfer the cream cheese frosting into a piping bag or a sandwich bag with a small corner snipped off to create a piping nozzle, making it easier to pipe the frosting precisely to mimic a beard.
  3. Pipe Frosting Beard: Pipe the cream cheese frosting over the top surface and down one side of each brownie bite to resemble a fluffy beard, which will serve as the face of the gnome.
  4. Add Strawberry Hat and Nose: Gently place a strawberry on top of each frosted brownie bite to form the gnome’s pointed hat. Press one Reese’s Puffs cereal piece onto the frosting just below the hat to act as the cute gnome nose.
  5. Chill and Serve: Refrigerate the assembled brownie bite gnomes immediately for at least one hour to let the frosting set firmly. For best appearance and texture, serve them the same day. They can be stored in the refrigerator for up to two additional days.

Notes

  • Make sure strawberries are completely dry before assembly to prevent frosting from becoming runny.
  • Use fresh cream cheese frosting for optimal taste and piping consistency.
  • This recipe is very flexible—feel free to use your favorite brownie recipe or mix for the brownie bites.
  • Reese’s Puffs cereal pieces provide a fun and edible nose, but any small round cereal or candy can substitute.
  • Keep the gnomes refrigerated until ready to serve to maintain shape and freshness.
