Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 2430 ladyfingers
  • 8 oz mascarpone cheese
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • ½ cup orange juice
  • 4 medium bananas, sliced
  • 8 oz cool whip

For Garnish

  • Banana slices (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the mascarpone mixture: In a large mixing bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream until soft peaks form. Then add the mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat on medium speed until stiff peaks develop. Set this mixture aside.
  2. Arrange ladyfingers: Line the bottom of a 9×13 inch or similarly sized baking dish with a single layer of ladyfingers.
  3. Soak ladyfingers: Gently brush half of the ladyfingers with half of the orange juice, allowing them to absorb the liquid.
  4. Add mascarpone and bananas: Spread half of the prepared mascarpone mixture evenly over the orange-soaked ladyfingers, then layer with sliced bananas.
  5. Repeat layering: Repeat the layering process with the remaining ladyfingers, brushing them with the remaining orange juice, then spreading the remaining mascarpone mixture, and topping with bananas.
  6. Top and chill: Cover the assembled tiramisu with cool whip, spreading it evenly over the top. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or preferably overnight to let the flavors meld and the dessert set.
  7. Garnish and serve: Before serving, garnish with additional banana slices if desired for an extra touch of freshness and presentation.

Notes

  • Use ripe but firm bananas to avoid mushiness in the dessert.
  • For best results, refrigerate the dessert overnight to allow flavors to fully develop.
  • Orange juice can be substituted with a light fruit juice or a flavored syrup for variation.
  • This recipe serves about 12 people, making it perfect for gatherings.
  • Keep the dessert chilled until serving to maintain the creamy texture.
